I am Amy J Nichols, and I’m graduated from the therapeutic massage program from Western Technical College in La Crosse, WI in April, 2014. I launched my own private practice following graduation at 620 Industrial Dr Suite 11 Sparta, WI 54656 within Shades Body Studio Inc.

Modalities allow me to provide a massage tailored to each individual. The massage is both therapeutic and deeply relaxing. It is never painful as I do not subscribe to the 'no pain, no gain' philosophy of bodywork. It is a common misconception that deep tissue work is synonymous with uncomfortably deep pressure and/or must be painful to be effective. In order to release tautness in deeper muscles and connective tissue, I often also use joint mobilization, passive stretching, and positional release techniques. Day spas influence my practice, and I include many comforting spa extras (such as aromatherapy) into each session at no extra charge. I use top quality massage creams and oils, a heated table, heat-pack applications, plush linens, heated herbal neck wraps and eye pillow in every session.
